• Voter Education and Engagement

We need young voices to be engaged at the ballot box.

Voting is the most basic form of civic engagement. With such a simple act, young leaders can change an election and shape a community. The Millennials and Gen Zs are the most well-educated generations our country has ever seen, yet our lackluster voting record has obscured these important voices on issues vital to our future. In fact, in 2014 Utah had the 3rd lowest voter turnout in the nation--less than half of Millennials were even registered to vote. If we are truly going to usher in a new generation of leaders, we must start by getting them into the voting booth as educated citizens.

Collaborate with partner organizations, including Utah based nonprofit Voterise, to promote voter registration and engagement among 18-35 year olds.
